Michelle Esquenazi

With nearly three decades in the bail industry, I bring a wealth of experience and insights to my leadership roles. In 2007, recognizing the need for industry-wide advocacy and standards, I founded the New York State Bail Association. My advocacy work didn't stop at the state level; in 2012, I extended my efforts to Albany, fighting for the bail industry's interests at the capital. Since 2007, I have served the board of NYSBA in many capacities. Currently, I am the president.

Recognizing the need for national representation, I took the initiative to establish the National Association of Bail Agents (NABA) to advance the interests of bail professionals across the United States. As the sitting President, I am committed to active listening, robust support for our industry, and fostering a harmonious community. I am passionately dedicated to leading the Association in a professional and courageous manner and am deeply grateful for the unwavering commitment and support from each of our members.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am a proud mother of four, wife, and doting grandmother. I have a strong passion for cooking Cuban food, a cultural treasure I love sharing with my family. In addition to these roles, I am the founder and CEO of Empire Bail Bonds in New York. I take immense pride in successfully opposing Bail Reform in New York twice since its introduction on January 1, 2020, through strategic advocacy with our NYS Association's legislative committee. I am highly motivated to continue advocating for our industry's value at both state and national levels.
